Having trouble with console...
All of a sudden, I have begun having problems using the console commands. None of the commands that I issue work (ie: rcon password clientkick 1, etc...). Other players don't have this same problem, so it isn't a server issue. I can use CI and send rcon commands with no problem. The problem isn't constant. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. A reboot of the computer doesn't seem to affect it.
Has anyone else experienced this? I am not sure if this is related, but when I tried to load a single player map in Spearhead with the map (name) command, it won't allow me to load m5l1a, which I wanted to get the coordinates on, in order to spawn some items. I can go to other maps, but not this particular one. This is all in Spearhead, BTW. |
how do you enter the rcon password? If you type it into console i would suggest adding it to your .cfg file so it auto logs you in and see if the prob still happens

It's in my config. It has always worked until just recently. Sometimes the console doesn't respond to anything that I type in. |
try
Echo: Test if it says back test then its working and sometimes commands dont go though for me so i just up arrow and enter them again |
I found the cause of my problem. I am using a thing called Total Control, which allows you to do a lot more things right from the game, such as switching people's teams, screenshots and more. In order to do this, I had to store my rcon pw in my game by typing: rconpassword (password). I hadn't realized that after that, I had to omit the password for any commands I did in the console. :)
