The army

Well, Im sorry for not being around that much lately, but as off Jan 31st, Im in the army.
Which means, this weekend was the first time I could go home for a short vacation.
Days have been full of drilling, screaming sergeants and taking apart our AK's.
However, I will be on more, as Ive got a vacation almost every weekend now.
Its great though, I really love it in the army. My platoon is kind of an MP-platoon.
In a few weeks, we will be starting our warfare at night and warfare in cities training,
which means we will be kicking doors in, clearing houses and eliminating hostiles.
All while wearing NV's. Fookin lovely I tells ya. And in about 136 days, I will get my promotion to corporal.
Aint life great?
Oh ya, rumor has it that my platoon might be dropped by a C130 Hercules in the northernmost parts
of Sweden for our final tests. Will be fun, me thinks. Anyways, enough for now, take care all and Ill drop by asap.

Heh, nein. Its basically an FN FNC, built on license by the Bofors factory here in Sweden. The current model is AK5A, that we are using, but we might be allowed to try the other verisons of it later. Tis a really simple gun though, only nine pieces when picked apart for cleaning. And yes, I can do it in the dark in under 30 seconds. biggrin:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Germany has a mandatory amount of time.

in switzerland if you're a male between a certain age demographic, you're automatically enlisted. like once every two months you gotta go for training until you get past a certain age

and good luck in the service

Must be fun shooting that AK5. Do you need to go through Airborne school/training before you jump???
