Dual Monitors?
OK I just got another monitor from my brother that got a new comp... BUt anyway how would I go about setting up dual monitors? the vid car I have has two monitor ports but from what I read on the internet I need to have two vid cards?...
I have win 2k with a Geforce3 ti 200 vid card any help on this would be great |
Usually just plug a vga>dvi connector on the monitor cable plug it in dvi port and go to the nvidia control panel to turn on the option for dual monitor mode. (assuming the second connection is dvi which it usually would be).

ok so all I need to do is plug it in there and thats it? so how does it work then will it show the same thing on both screens? or will I have a new desktop for both?

The display i think you can select between showing the same thing on both screens or extending your desktop to the second monitor so you get more workspace basically. |
I had to buy an adaptor for mine. its okay..more novelty feature than anything though.

my TV is also used as a secondary monitor do u find the writing to be somewhat blurry?
|
obviously. Monitor resolution is 1024 or higher, while normal TV resolution is half of that at most. get an HD capable TV if you want it to be clearer.
