Sound modifying for PA?
May as well post this here even though its a pos.
Trying to port my garand sounds from moh:aa over to pa, the res tool is being a pos and refuses to work without crashing, i was able to extract some files however, as far as i know the dir structure for garand sound is the following: Sound\Weapons\fires_new\M1_Garand Ive put the new files into this but the game seems t just use the default sounds, i modified the garand hag file so it could reload when i wanted so i know the pk3 file is working ok. The files are set as 1411kbps 16 bit 2 channel stereo files at 44khz pcm format. As far as im aware this should be working but its not oOo: |
You need the extracter from the mod developer kit and then do what you do with any other .wav or whatever file it is all I know rolleyes: <-----To me

I did it another way with my M14.
First i edited the ubersound/ubersound.scr and added the line: [code:c84f0]//m14 aliascache m14_snd_fire sound/weapons/fires_new/m14/m14_fire.wav Mult 100 0 0 soundparms 1.3 0.2 1 0.2 500 5000 weapon_npc loaded ducking maps "1 2 4 5 7 moh dm mp" [/code:c84f0] and i called the firing sound m14_fire and put it in sound/weapons/fires_new/m14/ Then i modified the hag and replaced m1carbine_snd_fire with m14_snd_fire. and now it works fine. |
try saving it as pak8.pk3
