The Moment of Silence

Haven't heard anyting about this game until I stumbled upon it yesterday. The plot intrigued me so I downloaded the demo.

[quote:7e1cc]Players step into the shoes of Peter Wright, a communications designer currently working on the Government's 'Freedom of Speech' campaign. But when his neighbour's apartment is stormed by a SWAT team, never to be seen again, Pete is drawn into a breathtaking world of corruption, power and global domination which will set hearts and minds racing. Most people here will probably be turned off by it right away because its kind of like Myst, where you use your mouse to point and click and look at things, and I was kind of discouraged by this too. I'd rather have it in a third person view or first person, but I'm likeing the mouse clincking better after I played for a while.

The demo reminded me of those flash games where your stuck in the room and you have to search for things to help you get out. Here, you start off in prison and you don't know why. Your job is to get out.

After playing the demo I'm going to try to find this game to buy.

It'll probably be frustrating for most people, and they'll quit after 5 minutes.
You have to put some effort into listening to the dialogue and trying different things out. This isn't a shooter. Its a game that has puzzles and you have to figure things out for yourself. But it can be a lot of fun.

Thanks for the heads up.
I remember when myst came out happy: I was like 8 or 9 IIRC and I thought it was scary as hell, even though its wasnt meant to be, it was just such a lonely feeling game, never did finish it biggrin:

The game was released in Europe in November I believe and was released in North America at the beginning of March.

Hitting puberty might help in the maturity area. When this happens, people can see that there are a lot of good games out there that don't involve shooting things.

Puzzles ? LOL. There are absolutely no puzzles in this game, only facts
gathering: you'd better hope you fucking remember everything because
otherwise, you'll end up kicking stones off the ground for a while. It's nothing
like Myst: even just comparing the two is an insult to Myst...
