I'm posting this thread from a computer at STCC, which is right next to, or to be more exact, part of the Springfield Armory, where the M1 Garand and the 1903 Springfield rifle, and Carbines were all produced. Upstairs in our library, I found manuals and many in-depth books having to do with the history and creation of the firearms. It's really all kind of interesting. I'm not sure, but I think you can go visit the armory, and see the actual weapons used in the war. Perhaps, if anyone wants, I could scan some pictures, diagrams, etc, if anyone is a gun fanatic. Thanks.
