Found it interesting, the plants in the region evolved with thick hairs to protect from the winds, and the seeds have developed a special coating that washes away with the perfect amount of precipitation and when the requirement is met it will bloom.

it's amazing how life can survive in the most harsh desolate and inhospitable places on this planet, be it the bottom of the oceans, deep in the ice of antarctica or in the blazing deserts.
