I found a tutorial that showed my how to make this blue blob thing, so I did.

I think it's pretty decent. I'm no photoshop artist by any means. I'll probably be using a scaled down version on brochures and such. It has nothing to do with painting, but meh.

EDIT: However, go over to Dafont (http://www.dafont.com) and find the info on the Backslash font. If it states that the font is protected from comercial use... then you may need a font change.

its not too bad but sometimes simple is better.

imo, its a bit too much. if i were you i would consider just using the text without the beveled circle, or the effects on the text. the text alone works for me ... its interesting and bold and imo will make a statement ( as will the name ).

have you tried printing it on your printer ? sometimes drop shadows / bevels dont print for shit ...

also are you planning on using the background color on your printed materials ? if not , it would be better to put the graphic on the same color background as what you are planning to print on.

theres a lot that could be done with just the text if you tinker around with it a bit.

All looks good however the "Painting Solutions" font looks a little off to me.

When you're dealing with logos the best thing is to keep it simple - something that can easily be reprinted onto different substrates, and at different sizes while still maintaining effectiveness....I suggest utilising some kind of small icon that you could maybe intergrate as part of the typeface - Put the "Dynamic" as the larger banner, with "painting solutions" directly centered under it in a smaller type, maybe a different, simple font or something....
