Something to ponder...
we are all, im sure, aware that leonardo da vinci was a man far ahead of his own time. In his journals and diaries, he made designs for anything from machine guns, to flying ship-like machines, and even tanks and simple engines from what i know of. So my question is, what if he had come forward? All of these amazing technologies wouldve been implicated, arial combat couldve evolved several hundred years before, it wouldve probably triggered a major industrial, and even more specifically a militaristic revolution. And even more interesting, what would our lives be like now, if he had come forward? I am of course, hypothesizing here, but his major breakthroughs mightve encouraged thousands of others to enter the many fields of science, which couldve resulted in great leaps being taken. It is interesting how one man had the potential to be so influential, and how different the world could be if he had come forward.

atomic bomb might have been invented earlier, so we might all be dead. well, everyone before us would've been dead and we wouldnt even be born.

I doubt that Himmler. I can't really explain why but their science was flawed and still in the unknown in the proper fields.
I'm not even sure they even had a table of elements in Da Vinci's time, nor a solid understanding in mathematics or physics. In any case if I had to use my imagination I'd like to say we would be living in a wondrous techno society. Chances our however being a realist the US wouldn't exist because British dominance would have dominated any guerrilla forces, plus those old arrogant gentleman’s war tactics the British used would have died out with the birth of new tech so it would basically would have been like US Forces versus Insurgents, although not exactly. Also +1 for making this intriguing thread. I never though of this before. |
Possible:
-War between science and religion -Militaristic empires, which may either continue to fight each other or find peace -Italy could become a religious superpower There are many scenarios you can think about =\ |
spike thnx for the +1. beer: The most interesting things is they have actually built some of da vinci's designs and the ones that were built did in fact work. I believe it was the flying ship machine and another.

Eh, I read the plot to the book... it doesn't really seem like a lot is in there about Da Vinci. Just the secret of Jesus being married to Mary Magledine(sp?). They had a child who became part of a royal family.
