i know some people here may be a bit outraged at such a severe sentance, but she is very very lucky they didnt hang her or put her in front of a firing squad.

I don't think a female 27 year old beauty therapist is the type of person to smuggle 9 pounds of marijuana into Indonesia. oOo: But what did they think her being a drug mule would do? Would she be like " oh look, nine lbs of pot in my bag, guess I better sell it to whoever the guy I dont know that put it in here wanted too." Guess the baggage guy in Indonesia that was supposed to pick it up was out to lunch?

This has been all over the news down here....

Prosecution are appealing for a heavier sentence...And her lawyers are appealing for reduced sentence.

If you look at the history of people getting caught with drugs in Indonesia - She is VERY lucky to walk away with 20 years.....

....The fact is, neither side has enough evidence for their cause. It's just fucked up that the prosecution would appeal for a longer sentence....I really don't understand that one.
