OK...ALMOST done, but need help
Ok guys, I know akuma allready saw this one coming...but anyways, I am almost done with my new PC, all I am waiting for now is the 3.73 GHz P4 1066 FSB, the Nvidia Geforce 6800 Ultra 256 MB PCI-E, and the 1 gig Kingston Hyper-X DDR2 Pc-4200
Everything else is DONE!!! whew....never thought I would be this far...STILL have alot to go...but, I want this rig to be clean, I finally put in the PSU, and I turned her on just to see if everything is in working order so far...and its top notch. SO, now, I have the undaunting task of "cleaning" the case, basically I want to remove as MANY visible wires as I can, or Hide them...I just need some tips guys, please. Thanks so much! http://www.ghg.net/portuga/SuB-0%20Project%20(Beast)%20006.jpg http://www.ghg.net/portuga/SuB-0%20Project%20(Beast)%20007.jpg http://www.ghg.net/portuga/SuB-0%20Project%20(Beast)%20008.jpg P.S. I forgot to mention that I have a Modular PSU, so re arranging some wire slots is no problem save for the MoBo and P4 power cables. ;) |

http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php ... 1027750806 browse through that entire thread. youll see alot of ideas, and i gurantee you youll see your case quite a few times. that should give you a few ideas. i personally cut a small hole just behind the power supply leading to the back of my case, allowing me to run everything behind the mobo tray. |

lol tony
heres my wiring job. shots a bit old, ive fixed alot of stuff such as those hard drives being so fucking close to eachother (yes i know bad idea). dremelled another mount for an 80mm fan on the back to exhaust out, added another fan in open cd bay area to blow towards the back of the case, creating a solid movement of air |
how do u get that wrapping shit around the cables?

I have allready buit a custom pc before...I just have NEVER been good at the wiring. My goal is to have a CLEAN, i mean CLEAN ass case...well, here goes and I will try back with more questions/comments. Thx for the pics...helped....and thanks alot for the link, been reading thru it alot...I saw one dude in there with the same case as mine but painted it fucking BLUE inside?! dude...at LEAST let it be attractive...meh, I dunno...like the others said "to each his own" Thx again |

I have parts of the cords stuck behind the MoBo panel and the Drive Bays...but that just doesn't cut it. Meh...this is teh suX0rz |

You should see my wire setup.. it is like a fucking jungle....

First of all, what case is that? I want to find some pics and see if there are any good places to route your cables.
That's not too bad. You got most of the wires away from the motherboard and out of the main air flow path. It doesn't look great, but it will work if you don't want to do more. Does your case have any holes near the PSU? If so, run some of the smaller wires behind your motherboard tray (you'll have to take off the other side of the case). For something like the 4 pin mobo power connector, you should only have to see a tiny bit of that since it's right near the top. If you don't have a hole near the psu try tucking the wires that higher up behind the PSU, between it and the case, if there is any room. The 20/24 pin connector is always a pain in the ass. You might not be able to do anything else with it. Another option is to buy some large diameter split tubing. If you can't do anything with that one large group of wires just put them inside some silver split loom. |

ROFL @ the Jungle wiring ;) I feel your pain!
Akuma, the case is that Raidmax Samurai here is a review about it with alot of pictures. http://www.insanetek.com/index.php?page ... e901case_1 As you guys can see there really isnt too too much room to do a wire mgmt. job with this case, like you can with Lian Li. I am semi-satisfied with the wires how they are now...I mean, if must be I will leave them, its just that I have alot of time on my hands untill I get my CPU, Video card, and memory.....sooo I figured why not try to get this biznatch all purtied up ;) lol. Well, akuma, I got my Digital Camera in hand, if you are still looking for some kind of pictures to help us out further, let me know and I will snap them....as far as room behind the MoBo, there isn't much, there is some between the metal tray and the outside door (on the back) but other then that none. As far as room behind the PSU, aint happening, if you take a close look at the 120 MM fan on the left, I tried running the cord for it up and around the mobo because it would not FIT around the PSU.....SOOOO, that tells you right there how much room there is...if you cant fit a simple red/black molex cord thru a gap (not counting the head, just the cords) then you know you are $&%@$ Well lemme kno and thx for the help guys! |
