Number two! I like that text effect, however somthing about this image and straight up greyscale don't mix.

Add some color to the second and it will be schweet.

what do suggest?

Maybe a dark green, but its up to you.

Not bad, though i dont like that shade of green, try something darker.

something darker ....try this way layer/layer adjusment/hue&saturation

If I were you, I'd have just put a slight colour tint on the soldiers, and left the background, or vice versa....
