Problems viewing with Windows media player..
My dad was trying to watch a movie trailer, when he used Windows Media Player, it came out black with audio. When we try Quicktime, it works fine. Just recently I updated the video card drivers, but I also reinstalled video codecs and Windows Media player itself. Any solutions?

+3 to anyone that can help me or find a good Troubleshooting guide. I couldn't find any good ones.
I will ask Zoner to give 5K GFD to the person who finds a working solution (Yay for uselessness). biggrin: |

Use gspot[/url:43b1e] to find out what codec the movie's using, and then install it.

my windows media player is being gay. It won't let me go into full screen mode. It'll enlarge the 1 frame and then turn black for about 3 seconds and then go back to the normal size. I checked google and stuff. But the only problem that would cause this, that I've researched, said it had to do with your screen resolution numbers not being compatible with something or another. Well, that doesn't seem to fit me because it worked totally fine like 2 weeks ago. Now all of a sudden (without me changing any resolution stuff) it doesn't work anymore.

coleman, try setting your video acceleration to max in the options menu.

Heh, my MSN/IE are being gay, but Windows Media Player works fine.

A long shot: Try installing the codecs from here.[/url:985a9] I know they should be in the WMP10 installation, but maybe something went tits-up. *shrugs* |
