What if all the sats got erased.... imagine the madness? I could see a mob outside of EA headquarters in 30mins or less.

Why should they inform us about downtimes ?
I mean.. its not like they made MILLIONs of Dollar from us, right ?

maybe that helicopter they used to deliver the game got shot down by Al Qaeda while they were gonna deliver the new patch???

maybe we can salvage the patch! quick!! to the crash site.
Or maybe Al Qaeda took the patch hostage. And will release a video of them deleting it and all of our stats. Much like the decapitations

Pretty lame today, i tried playing earlier it sat at connecting to account server for 5 mins before i just quit out.

Well for me it seems fixed. just played for 30 mins on an EA uk server until I got a 'connection lost from server' error........

Some ppl jus leave it logging in and it connects eventually, should beb ack now tho hopefully oOo: calmdown:

GameSpy Under Attack?

Boomtown reports the recent downtime of account servers (that we have all experienced) can be attributed to a denial of service attack launched against GameSpy.

Many gamers are currently experiencing problems when trying to login to their Battlefield 2 accounts. The problems are caused by a denial of service attack on GameSpy, who're running the account servers.

This means that all of GSI services are unavailable at the moment, leaving many with having to deal with real life for the time being (scary stuff, we know). As with so many other things regarding Battlefield 2, a fix is being worked on. Supposedly, this affects other games too, but as all I’m playing for now is Battlefield 2, I haven't checked.

Unfortunately we cannot confirm these happenings at this time.

Go back to 1.0. One of many things they fucked up with the patch was stat tracking. 1.0 tracking still seems reliable.

Shit, at times like this I'd even mess about in Single player but you have to frikkin Log In to nothing, to do so.

Plus when I can't even press cancel or ctrl/alt/delete out of the thing that just makes my piss boil mad:

How about we list all the things that've gone wrong so far with the game

1.gamespy denial of service attacks
2.patch leak fuck up
3.hacker unlocks weapons

Hmm, whats next? I'm personally excited about when someone at EA accidently presses a big red button that wipes off all the stats.

I just connected. Took a long time and my stats are gone. I still have my medals and ribbons but all my points, rank, and other stats are gone completely

Just now i earned sniper and parachute badges and ribbons....didnt fucking update. Im pissed
