Red Orchestra is a wicked mod.

Akuma 07-17-2005 03:40 PM

doom 3 is probably the worst investment you could make in the world of gaming right now

Yup, Half-Life 2 not only looks better but it runs better, plus it has mods and a multiplayer that supports more than 4 people.

I went looking for a new game today eveything looked fucking gay. I was tempted to buy HL2 but I think too many people are on the bf2 craze and I wouldnt play with many of them

Doom 3 graphically is better than hl2, and in terms of tech the doom engine dumps on source from a great height.

As for red orchastra, the only thing i can say about that mod is "clunky".

ChanServ disagrees.

Source engine is pretty much an older engine with a lot of shader support, it does look nice in places but doom 3 overall looks better with the bumpmapping and dynamic shadows. Just have to look at how good quakewars looks using the doom 3 engine.

I want a complete list of every gaming engine out there. In order of performance/"adaptability".
