they use cad for designing things like pipelines and houses and stuff. i think its pretty hard to learn, because people have to take classes on it to become proficient. My friend does that all day long at work.

Elaborate

Making bolt systems and different internals. Even making a new gun. Can also get CADs of paintball guns and figure out how much of the metal is able to be milled ect..

CAD is primarly for industrial design and the likes, when you need to be able to get a blueprint straight out of the model itself. Ive worked with different CAD-applications for three years, so I know my way around them by now. biggrin:
