Maybe we should make another thread about it where people will piss about:

1. how its gonna suck
2. how is the Big fuckin gun
3. how video game movies suck
4. how hollywood sucks for making video game movies

Was reading that the other day, the first person perspective for some action scenes actually seems pretty good. Besides that it still has a stink of cheddar around it.

Doesn't sound all that bad, methinks...

I'm actually looking forward to this now.

It would be cool if the movie was done entirely on the Doom 3 engine... with high res textures of course.

...Could be cool, something I've never seen attempted before. And if they're willing to be original with stuff like this, it's usually a good sign that the movie is at least trying not to be one big giant action movie rehash.

And the amusing thing is they have a hellknight in the movie, and its supposodly still called a hellknight. oOo:

There is probably a portal to hell in the end of the movie that is defended by Hellknights and they go through and movie ends to leave it open for the sequel.

Nope baron was a different demon, i think the closest thing to a baron in the game is the archiville.

Akuma 07-22-2005 04:18 AM

In the original Doom Barons of Hell were just pinkish-red Hellknights.

Just with tons more HP...
