Gay name, beta out on August 3rd for anyone interested. oOo:

Jimmy Paterson 07-22-2005 08:25 AM

is that a new OS?

Doctor Duffy 07-22-2005 08:26 AM

Formally known as Longhorn....

....truthfully, I thought Longhorn was the cooler name.

...Did you see that crowd in the video? Sheesh, more people are lined up to see and operating system over a Metallica concert...

PCGAMER had something about this a long time back, said it would be like a Gaming OS, where you could just pop and play you're CD's, instead of installing. Hope it is...PCGAMER tends to be full of crap, though.

sounds better as vista.

SHould be quite funky when its out, I just hope its not all DRM anal.

I have a friend who has done testing on "longhorn" and has done coding and shit for some of this, as well as SP2. He says theres going to be a very wide selection of versions avalible. IE home, pro, small buisness, game, etc. Those are just examples he hasnt said much besides "many versions".

I wonder how much of a difference these packages would make or if they are just to take advantage of people who don't know better.
