No I don't think it would work.
Just as the *func_train* entity in Half-Life never works. Really if you want something like that play Operation Flashpoint! http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif |
That would be nice but the current maps we have for MP. are way to small for any moving vehicle

Anybody who has played Halo on the XBox co-op style will attest to the fact that tinkering with those vehicles is fun as all bloody hell. For the jeep, one guy jumps in the driver's seat, the other mounts the cannon on the jeep and the fun begins. With the tank, you can sit on the side while another person drives, hop off to take out some enemies, and jump back on to continue on your way. It's a blast.
I cannot say whether it is possible in MoH or not - though there are jet fighter games modded from Quake II, so almost anything is possible - but it sure would be fun. |
not possible
|
Ah, JimbobMojo, thanks for clearing that up for us.
Maybe you wouldn't mind answering a few more questions for us, while you're at it? You being as wise as you are and all ... |
How the hell could it not be possible? It's in single player isn't it? Now there would have to be all new code for driving the vehicle, but you can drive vehicles in Tribes 1/2 so why not. That would be cool if like a well placed rocket could take the jeep out too. Then there might actually be some purpose for those rocket guys.
|
nope with a tank everyone would want the "big" thing like doin the turret so a jeep would be best but it should be able to be blown away by a rocket launcher ( it would actually make it a sensible weapon.
------------------ Starcraft is still good...... really I mean it. The 40,000 people playin starcraft mystery may never be sloved as the game is 5 yrs old. |
Tanks might throw off gameplay balance but would add so much to the mood. Think of playing on destroyed village, crouching behind some rubble with your trusty rifle. The creaking sound of a tank slowly rolling through the streets is near. It stops... the cannon slowly swivels towards you. You've been spotted! Then it's time to run! The rocket launcher would also be able to take out the tanks.
And think about tank battles with the infantry running between and throughout the fighting tanks shooting at each other. That would have such a kick ass atmosphere... but you're always gonna have those people that will whine cause they get shot or run over by the tank alot. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif Couldn't be any worse than getting fragged by rockets too many times. |
that would be good

No fun, and no point

Would it be possible to put the SAS jeep in MP.
Say you have a special objective level where you need to cover a lot of ground fast to get to the fight. Use like 2 jeeps and an Opel. The jeep would carry 4 guys: 1 drives, one on the MG, the other two ride in the front/back and use their own guns. This way is faster than walking and you would also have to have communication and be careful not to ride right into the enemy. ------------------ "At basic you learned out of a book, I'm going to teach you things they never put in the book, and probably never will" -Sands of Iwo Jima Stryker's Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault headquarters WWII wargaming forums |
