Spend your money on penis operations instead.

Eight Ace 08-01-2005 03:11 AM

yes, you should be able to put together a good gaming penis for
that sort of money...try overclocking your testicles whilst you're at it.

Akuma 08-01-2005 05:12 AM

I don't know any good canadian stores.

Off the top of my head you could probably get:

AMD A64 3200+
Abit Fatal1ty AN8 SLI
2gb Corsair Value Select PC3200
Radeon X800XL/6800GT maybe even 7800GTX
120gb SATA hard drive
PSU from Seasonic/fortron/antec
case

Leaves you a case for $100

I had no idea that canadian prices sucked so bad... I'll put one together at pccanada.com too, to see if it's cheaper.

Edit: pccanada.com is just as bad..

Tystnad 08-01-2005 09:08 AM

Asus® A8V-E Deluxe $139.99
AMD® Athlon™ 64 - 3200 - 512K $239.99
Sapphire® Radeon™ X850PRO $319.99
OCZ 1Gb PC3200 DDR Gold Edition (2*512Mb) $204.99
Enermax Noisetaker EG425P 420W $79.99
120GB Maxtor DiamondMax® Plus 9 SATA 7200rpm $99.99

That leaves like $115.06 to buy a case or whatever. Stuff is from pccanada.com.

Never had a problem with mine, and their packed with nifty features.

Anita_Man 08-01-2005 09:54 AM

well I know a few who have had problems with the junk.

All brands have problems with some customers. As stated, I find the Asus ones more stable than ie. Abit or MSI.

Asus is good, but the one that you picked out Tystnad, uses shitty VIA chipset rather than nF4 greatness.

You could dump the SLI mobo and grab the cheaper nF4 Ultra version if you don't see yourself ever doing SLI.

Thing is, the best thing to do now is getting an SLI right away, if youre going to upgrade anyway. biggrin:

Thats my advise, atleast.

I completely agree with you.
