So can we now unlock big maps and more than 16 players? or is this just a Map maker?

This is a complete MDK...maps, animations, models...the works.

There are options for supply line gameplay and over 64 players per map that was cut before release.

I noticed in the editor they have 16, 32, 64, and 128 options for maps but I guess 128 isn't supported?

General Death 08-08-2005 12:39 PM

Not sure if anyone has tried a 128 custom map yet.

Originally bf was meant to ship with maps supporting over 100 players, they scaled it back to 64 probably because the maps woulda had to have been even bigger, plus server bandwidth whorage woulda been worse.

General Death 08-08-2005 01:37 PM

Yea I personally dont care for the full 64 player servers. I dont think the maps are big enough to support that many players.

I just found out the carrier isn't one large static object but it's broken into peice you need to setup.

The cameras in the editor are cool, and make it way eaiser to test dimensions without having to compile.
