iPod question

Ok, hold back the flame comments, i'm looking for help with this lil' shit thing. Got a 512 iPod shuffle http://www.apple.com/ipodshuffle/

Problem is i can't hear music. The directory goes something like this:

Arkans iPod, then folder called "ipod control". Inside that folder are two directories, 1. "iTunes" and 2. "Music"

Inside the "Music" folders are 3 additional empty folders called "F00. F01, and F02. I placed MP3's in all 3 folders and some more in the "Music" folder. When i turn on iPod with headphones, i can't get nothing to play. Whats up with that?

Do i need all these silly directorise when all i want is to just dump 512 MB of MP3's in it and just listen to it? Anyone have this lil' shit stick ??

Just import all the music you want on your ipod, into itunes then plug in your ipod and it should upload it automatically

you have to use itunes to put songs on your ipod. you cannot just drag and drop them into it.

you can.

edit / pref / ipod / music / select ' man manage songs and play '

once you do that you can drag shit from any window to the 'your' ipd icon in the source section of itunes.

I got another question for you guys. Sorry to hijack the thread, but I guess the question's been answered already, but here goes mine. I got an iPod mini and a car that has a cassette player. Could someone tell me the best cassette adapter that could work with my iPod? I read the Sony version is the best, but I can only find the Monster and Radioshack version's in my area. Is Sony worth buying off the net, or should I buy the other adapters? Thanks ahead of time for those who answer.

Cassette Adapters are fairly generic. Anyone of them should work fine.

If your car sterio has an aux socket on it (usually on the back of it) you can stick a double ended phones lead into it (i forgot the official name of it)

uh.. mini jack to RCA cord?
the iTrip thing is just an FM transmitter deal right? FM isnt the most quality of musical formats, id stick to the cassette adaptor if anything.

yup thats the chord i think.

My dad uses an FM transmitter in his car... very good quality if you get a decent model, he got a cheaper model earlier on and found that that was pretty good (no crackling, pretty good quality) but upgraded to get maximum audio quality
