I went to Canada with my best friend of nearly 6 years. She has been there for me for almost everything and now we are breaking up. We have been friends under the condition of us always being friends and nothing more. I had a crush on her in HS and she is still very sweet. We had a great time in Canada and the night we got back we chatted for a while and left eachother with a big hug. The next night I made the mistake of telling her on aim that i was in love with her. She is totally freaking out and now she doesnt want to be friends anymore because she cant handle it. The thing is, i meant it at the time, but I want us to remain friends. i told her that because i wanted to get it out of my system and move on. She is avoiding all my calls and my texts. She said that she is coming over tomorrow to pick up some of her stuff and thats it, we're finished. This is a real shock to me, just 24 hours ago, we were best buds. I dont know what to do, any suggestions? please, only serious ones. On the last day of our trip, we got into an argument because she kept us off of our schedule and i made us leave san francisco so that we could go home. i had work the next day and so i didnt want to have 2 hours of sleep before i get up. i know this made an impact on her decision making process to end our friendship, but i think it is a dumb thing to end a 6 yrear friendship over. I have a bad feeling that nothing is going to help. She is intent on breaking us up and if i try to talk to her about it, shes just gonna yell at me and drive away. what should i do? im fucked.

You made a big mistake. Women aren't supposed to be your friends. Especially "best" friends.

Tell her shes being a fucking child and a bitch about it. Explain to her how hard it was to reveal to her, and how long you've been hiding it, then tell her the way she acted was fucked up and maybe you were wrong about her.

we talked again on chat. its over. me telling her how i feel was the final straw. from what she told me, there were things in my personality that she didnt like very much and she was tired of pretending that it didnt bother her. wtf thats almost exactly what my ex said to me when she gave me the boot. why arent women honest about shit? she isnt one to be coy or hide her feelings, she speaks her mind so i dont get how she could play friends even though she didnt like me. fucking whores.

yeah just move on. I made the mistake of dwelling on my ex. she told me we had to break up because there wasnt enough time for a relationship. a month later I over hear her saying to her friends I was a huge fagot.

At the risk of sounding fagtastic; I've yet to meet a woman that I'd trust as much as my best friend. That includes long term relationships, and female friends that I've known all my life.
