I agree, this game is quite realistic and the idea of a sniper rifle from 100 yeards away blowing the guys head off seems kinda soldier of Fortune. SoF2 looks quite good though, no doubt :P

yes barret makes a .50 bolt action but i believe standard issue is a 7.62 m40 because the .50 was inaccurate.

Well lets see, a Colt pistol could make a guys face cave in at point blank range.


I don't think the sniper rifles they used back then would decapitate them but it would blow the back of their head out.

50 cal sniper rifles aren't really designed for shooting people. (it is illegal in the geneva convention to use .50 cal rounds on troops)
(it is legal however to a soldiers body armour. very dodgy legal loop holes)
their primary role is to be used for destroying light skinned vehicles, such as jeeps etc.

i knew that was their original design but i wasn't sure if it was ever adopted as a sniper rifle anywhere. that's probably why it is called the "light" .50

my scout platoon used 50 cals for their snipers http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif all u have to do is shoot there kevlat helmets or the chin strap or there lbv and when its all said n done who knows anyway besides a 50 cal machine gun cannot be used against people a 50 sniper rifle can and a m40 which uses the 7.76 rd can take a head off 500 meters away
