delete file?
im trying to delete this file:
[img]http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/2066/untitled2copy6kg.jpg[/img] there is no programs using it and no processes using it. please help delete this crap. |
reboot your computer and try again.

Are you sure it's not a system file?
see if you can drag it into another folder, probably won't let you though... Find out what process is using it and shut it down with task manager... |

check to see if its read only ....
right click prop att uncheck read only if its checked. |

i have this problem with a file on my desktop that failed to completely download, now i cant get rid of it. is it possible to have windows delete a file before everything loads up on startup?

you can write a type of boot virus that says, "delete such and such file at start up" or you can delete it in dos, other than that now
