Has this happened to you? (using a jet)
 

you'll be flying, you lock on to a helo or jet, fire your missiles, the helo or jet pops out his flares, and any surrounding team mates using a chopper will get directly hit by it. as if I was locked on to them instead.

It seems to happen often for me, is this a bug? or could that shit happen in RL.

I always see "Team Vehical Damage!"

or I end up killing my team mate and I get punished, I really dont blame them for punishing though. heh

If it flies and produces heat, its fair game for AA missiles. The sad part is that they seem to track teammates better then the enemies.

I dont fire unless the airspace is clear of friendlies as you just dont know where they will go.

That makes sense but when I'm locked on and I don't have any friendlys in my HUD and the missles go straight down or of in some other direction and hit somthing below or behind me, thats kinda bullshit.

I 100% agree. From what I have been told from military sources, heat seakers are "tuned" to lock on to the certain makeup of the heat an object produces...not just heat in general.

In game it makes AA's pretty uses during a good dogfight as all heat sources are far game. :(

Heatsources are obviously not your friend. But yeah, if the missle misses, it goes to the next thing that produces heat, which in ur case, is a friendly jet/heli.

Dogfight tip: If you enemy keeps turning, aim to the enemys nose or higher and fire the missle. Ive found that it hits more often.

While were on this, have you ever had your stinger missles from AA guns go right through helos?

not AA, but my missiles on my jet will often go right through, and I have a fairly good distance away from them, pisses me off. helos are gay when shooting them down with a jet.

Every fucking time. I've seen missiles miss and fly across large maps to find new friendly targets. Last time everyone was done punishing me I told them if the mig is such a problem they can fucking take it out themselves.

I killed my squadmates 3 different times with that bullshit...Ill lock onto a jet who I am flying directly behind who is flying striaght. My teammate in an attack chopper or jet flew bye and BOOM fuckin TK 3 fuckin times. Mega Gay.
