My New Car (Warning: Lotsa Pics)

My car the day I bought it:

2000 Chevrolet Impala LS 3.8L 3800 Series II V6

So I decided I wanted to spice it up a bit. I decided to do a red theme with the car to offset the white.

I started by doing red overlays over the impala emblems:

I also got a vinyl piece for over the third brake light and I took off the impala emblem on the left and the dealer sticker:

Next I bought some white face guages:

Then I wanted to do the callipers and hubs red as well to match the overlays. Rice, maybe, but it goes well with the car as you will see:

So here's the car so far:

Then I decided to black out the windows. 5% rear 5 windows, and 20% for the front two.

Then I decided to install a system in my car:

After installation:

Amp rack behing the rear seats:

2 10" Infinity 10.1 Subs:

I also have tail light covers waiting to be painted, and a new front Indy grill on its way. Both chevy symbols in the front and back will be painted red to go with the theme. Once that's done, i'm going to paint the black mouldings the white body colour and then my appearance mods will be complete. Then I will move on to performance mods. The car actually already has Intake and exhaust mods as you can see from the pics.

I pretty much blew the engine on the daytona. cry: It had 232,000 KMS on it so it served me well. I put an ad in the bargain finder, but I didn't even get a single call for it. It was in there for three weeks. Probably because I listed the kms in the add, but oh well. I doubt anyone owuld ahve bought it once they found out that it needed major engine repairs. Just today I took it to Pick your part junk yard. They gave me $41 for it. cry: The Daytona will be reincarnated in a case of beer.

calipers look nice, where did you get them? im thinking of getting brembos, and they're not rice, porsche uses red biggrin:

Callipers are stock. I just used duplicolors calliper paint kit that you can find at walmart or any other auto parts place. It's $20 and it comes with everything you need. Cleaner to get road grime off the callipers and lots of paint to paint it on. It is a brush on, but works pretty well. I applied about three coats to each calliper, but you have enough to do probably 10 coats if you wanted to.

Kinda ironic, im getting a 2000 Impala soon as well.

Mines black though, and its the police package version with all the goodies(spotlights, pushbar, police wheels, etc...) rock:
