DOD: Source

Anybody here play it alot? I bought it last Sunday, and I like it except for how fast everybody runs. It feels faster than Unreal Tournament at times, which makes it horrible for me because I can't hit shit up close with any weapon. I suck total donkey shit at this game, my best score was 33-23. Everything else is like 3-15, which pisses me off because I'm used to 50-5 scores on MOHAA.

Yeah I play a lot. (focus)witchy
No particular server, usually a 30ish player server that runs Avalanche.

Counterstrike source is pretty bad, has more than its fair share of stupid bugs that should have been fixed long ago. Dod to me plays better but it does share some of its bugs with cs source, and theyre strangely similar to bugs from medal of honor.

They all sem to hav epoint of view bugs, in cs source its possible for a guy to stand on top of a box and you being slightly higher than him on an elevated platform, you can see the bare top of his head, im talking literally a couple of inches here) but from his point of view he can pretty much see your entire torso area, which would only make sense if the guy on the box had his eyes elevated about a foot above his head.

Pic reference

http://whisper.ausgamers.com/pictures/dust2sa-ct1.jpg what the guy on the platform can see, like 2-3 inches of the other guys helmet, this obviously makes him harder to hit.

And this is what the guy on the box can see, a clear view of the upper part of the the guy, even though boxguys eyelevel is below the wall. The guy from this pov can also fire over from this position even though his gun and arms are far below the top o the wall, and he's gonna have an easier time hitting the guy seeing as he can see his full torso whereas the other guy has a coupe of inches of helmet to aim at.

This happens in dod as well and has affected it since the older versions of the game. Its more noticable when you;re sniping, a guy will start to come slowly round a corner you can see the bare edge of him, and it'll be hard for you to get the crosshair on him, but from his point of view he can see over half of one side of you making his shot a lot easier.
