It's going to be interesting watching this play out over the next few years and whether legalization will cause harm or not.

I suspect that, either way, the side that is proven wrong will still find a way to argue their case.

The Colorado state law is going to trump Denver's law, so it's only going to be around until a state court says that the state law overrules the city law.

Really what the purpose of this law was for wasn't to get pot legalized in Denver, but to show that if votes were held for legalization of Marijuana in a major population center that it COULD win, thus inspiring other places to give thought to the fact that perhaps they too should start working towards Marijuana legalization.

People are usually prosicuted on the local level for possession, not in state courts. Maybe this is what its supposed to mean.

It doesn't even matter cause colorado law does not legalize it, so you can still get arrested.
