What is wrong with this picture? Thousands of drunken white guys are attacking everybody who looks middle-eastern and ONE woman gets her head-scarf ripped off.

I heard this story yesterday. Not sure what you're trying to say, but is it that the media is trying to protray the riots as worse than they actually are?
The article goes from saying thousands of whites attacking to one woman, so if that is what your saying, I see where you're coming from.
However, I was just flipping by CBC and they had some footage, and it didn't look like a walk in the park to me. Police swinging batons wildly and grabbing people in headlocks. They also showed police shoving people into the front of a police car to get them out of there who I assume would be middle eastern, but all I saw was their backside.
Anyway, i'm sure the aussies on the board know a lot more about the situation since they're probably hearing about it 24/7 down there. |
