I recieved this as a take home question part of one of my test...a controversial statement but its all truth...

"American government more closely resembles a bourgeois dictatorship than a democracy"

Think it over before you reply...

I think that some aspects of the election process have made it so that it's hard for people without money to get elected. That being said, I think that it is possible to think that statement is true, but I think with all the abilities for the people to control their representatives that it is not fully true.
