Iran's new policy towards Western Culture
 

I was watching the news the other night and heard about how the new president of Iran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has passed a bunch of laws concerning Western culture. They've banned all western movies and music and anything that may be labeled 'feminist'. What do you all think about that?

You invaded the wrong country ? What should I say ?

Look up what happened in the 1950s in Iran involving control of oil and the Britain and the U.S and who came into power after all this and what he did...maybe that can justify an answer as to why they hate us so much.

Yup as machette said not surprised at the least, distancing themselves from the western world and preserving their culture isnt such a bad idea considering how Iraq is basically the 51st state of USA in the way it is controlled.

I don't see your point with the president thing. the US embraces all cultures, yet you probably won't ever find an Iranian being our president. That doesn't mean we have to outlaw their music.

we are different...it is our choice tohave their music or not...and it is their choice to have ours or not.

Try to change America to be soley white protestant again...if thats what ya want....thats the way it used to be right?

Well...if bush had the power...im sure he'd make sure a lot of things were different in America.

It isn't our right to change others...we wanted change so we MOVED to USA or Canada...if they're too poor to move well...that's the way God intended.
