Pretty cool..

but why do you color in by drawing crisscrosses? Why cant you just slant the pencil and shade?

Hatching (hachure in French) and cross-hatching are artistic techniques used to create tonal or shading effects by drawing (or painting or scribing) closely spaced parallel lines. When lines are placed at an angle to one another, it is called cross-hatching.

: i like the way they look for one .. looks much more interdsting than flat smudged shading imo.

I dunno, Im not much of an artist, but I doodle a lot.... just always wondered why I'd see other kids drawings and they'd always have a bunch of lines instead of shades.

Soon as I geta scanner I'll put up some of my stuffz
