OK, that's terrible and I feel bad for the girl, but the fact that she didn't know her dad's name when the police asked if anyone knew the individual should stop any lawsuit dead in its tracks. WTF do you mean you don't know your dad's name?

She had to ask her mother about the name. When the mother heard the name perhaps she should have asked what spurred the questions. At which point she could have diverted it saying it was an uncle, or distant relative. Especially if the kid had never asked a question about her father, or learned his real name. Now if she had burst into tears in the class room and wimpering said "thats my dad". I could understand a lawsuit. |
