why in teh fuck does this thing do this?

at some random time im on the computer, it just starts scanning files, it's not doing a full PC scan, just scanning some shit I dont even know really, Ive tried disabling shit, but it keeps doing it, it's really annoying. Ill be gaming or working on something and then all of a sudden my computer starts getting all chuggy and loading everything slowly, and its because of this fucking thing eating up my resources scanning shit whenever the fuck it feels like it.

shut it off when your gaming. I turn all that bullshit off on my AVG and Spysweeper and all that when I game.

I do, but sometimes I forget, but it still does it when im using photoshop or listening to music or msn, my songs load slowly and im typing faster in msn than what's appearing on the screen.

is that AV any good? i ditched norton for avg so i'm curious if kasp is any good.

I like Zonealarm Security Suite*.. Firewall and AV in one program = less resource hogging

I have AVG, Zone Alarm Firewall, and Spysweeper full version. My shit is locked down like the virgin mary's pussy

ya it is very good, It caught shit norton didnt even pick up. but this random scanning shit is pissing me off

I seem to be having unsafe sex.. I have never used any anti virus software or windows firewall for years and I have yet to get a major virus... (except this one time)

check the "scheduled scans" under settings / configure on-demand scans and at the bottom theres a hyper link like link you can select to disable sch scans
