Converting mp3 to wav
 

AS my phone only allows me to put .wav files as ringtones, my whole music collection is a .mp3 file. So I need to convert some of my collection to .wav files. I've tried downloading a couple of files and they turned from 5meg files to 30-40meg files. Is there a way to decrease the size of them, because this is outragious. Is it normal for them to become this big? And are there any recommended software to make the change?

.wav is an uncompressed format, so they're gonna be BIG.

when you convert over to wav, try bumping down the recording frequency, OR lower the bit rate on the mp3's before you convert
