Ja, lots of good deals for them out there.

I plan on getting:
a SMLE Mk. II
a Finnish Nagant M28
Webley revolver

Sgt. Paine 01-18-2006 04:41 PM

All that grease was likly for storage, to limit the amount of water damage and rusting. Not un common for tossing a rifle into long term storage when you dont want to deal with it every month to maintain it.

cosmoline, it is a bitch to remove. After you fire the weapon it will sweat from the wood. There are many websites that offer tips to get it out. One way is to complete disassembly and pack the stock in kitty litter, if you are in a warm climate put it in the trunk of a car while in the kitty litter and it will help sweat it out
