I saw in one of your posts that you are using a 56k connection. What ISP do you use? Any tips/advise on making MP a worthwhile experience with 56k. DSL not available for me and our cable company sucks!

i am in the same boat as u dude i usually hit pings between 90-220 i can handle 220 ping but usually around 150 i just turn my settings medium (lowers if ur system is weaker) turn off all outside proggies excpet what i need to run my comp and run the in game browser with the new patch make sure u turn off all the special effects cause all it does is take more bandwidth so keep all things possible to a mim and u should be ok the game doesnt look bad on medium graphics n lower especially if u been a 56k gamer for a while u get used to having to do that and dont use a winmodem ick also if ur modem is on board try to get a pci modem or amr modem and disable ur onboard modem

dial-up modem sucks, buy cable!

I use USR PCI modem - is that what you mean by winmodem? Someone told me ATT provides consistent connections - might try them.

dude if cable or dsl was in my area i would but as it is i am 20 miles away from my central office for my phone company and cable only offered in the big cities i live in a town of 900 lol county of 12,000 they forget about us lol no it isnt what i mean by win modem pci modem is good try going thru earthlink if ur local isp is shit alot of people i know use earthlink and connect 49,333 or better also if ur phone lines are dsl compatible u can try to run 2 modems at once link them up i had a friend who did that when he played df lw he never lagged who knows maybe it will work
