Tech Support

wtf is going on with electronics tech support ? it doesnt matter who i call, be it hp, or microsoft, i get an operator i cant even fuking understand. seriously, i just got off the phone with a hp tech person ( middle eastern as always ) , and i couldnt understand 85% of what she said. its like calling a phone service and picking a language you dont even speak, and pretending to understand it. how the shit do these companies think that hiring tech people who can barely speak english can get the job done.

FUK!

TonyMontana 01-27-2006 02:55 PM

they pay these people minimum wage. half of them learn JUST enough english to do this job

ps: wtf you need tech support for

Mr.Buttocks 01-27-2006 02:58 PM

You were probably talking to some dude/dudette in India.

Madmartagen 01-27-2006 03:26 PM

they prolly fake the language barrier cause customers with tech problems suck.

Judas 01-27-2006 03:31 PM

i am the awesomest so that cant be true.

Mr.Buttocks 01-27-2006 03:32 PM

Next time you call, ask the person if they have a pet elephant.

Madmartagen 01-27-2006 03:47 PM

i know cingular and SBC outsource their tech solutions to the east. it sucks, but, if you ask for their supervisor, you will find out that person can speak english fairly well. that, or you can just call them a talibamin suicide bomber and hang up.

Thats because all these companies outsourced their helpdesks overseas to India. they pay 5 people the same ammount they would pay 1 person here in teh states.

Its been that way for a few years now, that was one of the selling points of our technical service plans at staples. Our tech support was US based.

staples techs get paid $15 an hour to tell you that you need to contact the manufacturer for your problems biggrin:

I did helpdesk support for the New York Transit authority. People were so happy that I was an American because i could be understood. I despise companies that outsource their tech support to Asia
