Navy Ship

So i just saw a navy commerical and they had this ship in it

I took one from Moracco to Spain, with some of the worst sea conditions any naval personel on the ship has seen.

The HSV (High speed vessle) SWIFT. We adopted it from Australia, it was a civilian carrier to shuttle civilians around, but the navy adopted it as a fast moving carrier. We had 2 companies of LAV's in the hold under the ship. The damn thing is fast as shit 35 knots with 500 tons and 42 knots at 300 tons. Its crazy we were hauling ass. Wish i got pics of everyone who was sea sick that passed out on the helo pad, there was not one spot to stand on the helo pad because everyone went up there to lay down and not puke rofl.[/img]

looks sweet

It was nice inside, but small. I mean we had trouble sitting all of us, no where to sleep but in our chairs. But the seats were captains chairs, like big movie seats. Only problem is trying to sleep in it for 2 nights was horrid. Plus we were right where the glass is on the front and we would come off the top of a wave and hit head first into the water, it sucked.

yeah, i saw it on the history channel once. If I remember correctly, they said the navy wants to use it with a stealth emphasis...something about how it hardly leaves any back waves or something. I could be wrong.

Milla 01-30-2006 09:42 PM

Yeah when i was standing on the back it didnt leave much of a back wave, but it was LOUD as hell back there from the two gigantic motors pushing it, i mean we were hauling ass.

Saw something about these ships on the Military Channel, pretty cool. They can deploy a battalion of US Marines anywhere in the world in 5 days, with armor and deploy able buildings.

omg a battalion , we had trouble with 2 companies lol. We could do it, but it would be very uncomfortable.

yeah, they are also making stealth destroyers and missile ships called DDX. My dad works in Navy contracting so I get to know all the cool stuff about new ships and stuff. He won't tell me any secret stuff but he tells me the public stuff before most people know about it.

Milla 01-30-2006 10:30 PM

Milla 01-30-2006 10:46 PM

Unknown_Sniper 01-30-2006 10:54 PM

Madmartagen 01-30-2006 11:12 PM
