[quote:e407b]Al-Quso and al-Badawi escaped April 11 (2003) from a Yemeni jail through a hole in a bathroom wall in their detention cell. Authorities in Yemen believe the men traveled either to al Qaeda strongholds in the country's northern provinces or to the Red Sea port of Al-Hudaydah, where some were from. [/quote:e407b]

So either one of the reports is wrong or both are wrong because I don't think the guy escaped from the same prison twice.

those reports do seem to be confused,

here's some more info but again a bit light on details:

"The first time al-Badawi escaped, he headed for Yemen's remote tribal lands, and officials assume
that is where he is headed this time, reports CBS News correspondent David Martin. The FBI has offered
to help in the manhunt, but so far the Yemenis have not taken up the offer, Martin reports."

"Fast Fact
For at least 10 of the escaped convicts, this is the second time
they escaped prison. In 2003, they escaped briefly from a prison
in the city of Aden before they were recaptured and convicted."
