Illustrator Thingy.
Basicly we had to take a photograph of some sort of architecturec etc.. Then basicly draw it in Illustrator. I ran short on time towards the due date.. I spent 4 days striaght just drawing crap...... I never had time to finish the reflections, shadows and a few cars and buses in the scene. So Instead I drew 95 percent of the outside by freehand. I should still get a good mark, kicked the crap out of most of the garbage people made in my class...
For some reason when I exported it into jpeg format alot of the lighting effects I had done just dissapeared.. ugh....... I can send a swf file though to anyone intrested. |
That's the inside lobby of a Technology school around where you live or something, right? I remember you posting pictures.
Nice job. beer: |
I've been dabbling in Illustrator as well lately, I have two projects in mind and I already made a portrait of my parents. Maybe I'll post it later, it's not great, but I think it came out alright.

here's my first work in illustrator. The colors look messed up, but I think some of the shading is pretty good considering it's my first time using Illustrator.

nice work[/quote:9fd9f]its not hard at all once you get the hang of the pen tool and how to move / change / add points .... post up some questions if you have them and ill try to answer. |
i found a handy tutorial if you guys want I'll dig it up.

one thing that ive found very handy about the direct selection tool is that instead of cliking on points to select them ( which can be frustrating as all out fuk ) you can marquee them to select ... you can also do this with sets of points and move them all at once ... once you have a point or group of points selected you can also 'nudge' them with the arrow keys
... it took me quite while of messing with ill and fuking hating selecting points to figure this out . the person in that tut needs to be stabbed to death for that appearance they are using. : also , in some cases tracing can be replace by "live trace" , if the art work is in good shape. fuking with the options once you have live traced and previewing those changes will most times lead to a complete drawing. |
