I noticed in the sp version that the Germans were able to lie in a prone position while firing. It made it very hard to hit them, especially in the snowy scenes when they were wearing their winter unis. Has anyone figured out it that is possible for us to do. By us I mean a non-computer controlled player?

I don't think "we" can go prone
|
I think you're right, I've hit every conceivable button and nothing makes me lie down. I think it would be awesome if we could though. Think about the Snowy Park with a prone sniper in winter gear, undetecable!!!!

If they did make a mod where you could lye prone, they should make sure it takes time to get into that position and to get up from it. It would suck if you could go from prone to standing in a fraction of a second.

I hope they come out with a patch for that so we can go prone also. The only real way you can kill them when they are prone is with the sniper rifle.

In multiplayer I saw a sniper prone. It was beautiful. He laid the length of a bottom step, peeking around a corner, aiming down a walkway. It would have been remote if someone would have seen him. I, unfortunately, came around the other way and spotted him on him blind side. Dead sniper.
Also, I believe I saw "crouch/prone" (same key) when I went to options on the CD. I haven't been able to do so but I do remember seeing it writen. No question answered. Just more to think about. Did I mention I love this game? I do..... |
there is no prone, it was not programed into the game for the player, only the Ai. u cant do it, u wont see anyone else do it. maybe later on the expansion pack or a patch will give us this feature.

hold on tight, cuz its not a question of IF, but WHEN. the red orchestra guys are working on it already. and someone else might be 2, not sure
------------------ By my discriminatory nature, I have felled the command structure of my enemies, rendered their equipment useless and driven fear into the hearts of their fighting men. The sniper is one of the most effective weapons on the field of battle. I am frugal, and precise. I am not a superman, capable of incredible feats, but Im skilled in ways that many misunderstand. For enemy soldiers, Zaitsev represents their doom. Unseen, but certain. Just raise your head above the trench and meet your maker. Yeah, there are a lot of short commings in the MP game, like not being able to add servers to a favorites list, so you dont have to wait till all the bloddy servers are queried. Prone is a big one, for those intense clan matches, where the snipers would love to go prone. Hopefully EA get on to all these and make the MP game as good as the SP game. AND PUT SOME MORE GOD DAMN MAPS OUT!!!

No you can't go prone. I'm hoping they will release a patch that will let you along with allowing 'peeking' around corners in the single player game. It seems dumb to have it in the multiplayer but no in the singleplayer.

That'd be really cool. They had a good system for that in Ghost Recon where you could crouch and lie down using X and C to get up and down.
This game is really bland, it could be SO much better... ------------------ http://www.sympc.com/wtf.JPG |
