Help on creating a resume

I'm making an attempt to get a job at Cingular... as a sales representative. They want a resume rather than an easy to do application. I have no work experience and I only (obviously) have most of highschool done. How am I supposed to make a resume with so little to put on it? Help is greatly appreciated. rock:

You're trying to work at Cingular and you haven't finished high school? Uhhh...good luck with that.

Dude, apply for something within your reach. Flip burgers, mow lawns, teach kids to throw a baseball.

I'm not trying to be an asshole here. Don't waste your time.

Well, it is a small cingular store. I don't quite understand why they would want someone so great with so much experience.

I understand what you do mean though. It's not me to reach for something so low, however. eek: (Fast food is the worst place for someone like me to work)

Don't go into fast food, it fucking blows chunks

LOL, they are not going to hire you unless you bullshit on your resume big time.

Jin-Roh 04-25-2006 08:51 PM

so regardless of what the place is called, resumes are for people with experience? oOo:

KTOG 04-25-2006 08:52 PM

...or good bullshitting skills.

would you be able to put volunteer stuff on it? Leadership roles? Any sociable scenarios that you've experienced in an organization? People skills? I guess that's the only thing you could put on your resume as a highschool kid.

Ah! I see. I thought you wanted to do corporate sales for Cingular.

Well, all you can do if accent your positives, even if you don't have any real experience. If you're tech-savvy and love technology, let them know that in your cover letter.

Don't tell 'em you hang out here.

HR Manager, Cingular: "Hello. I'm wondering if I have the right person here. Are you 'Zoner', by any chance?"

Me: "Uhhh...yeah."

HR Manager: "Good. Well, I have an applicant here who calls himself 'Jin-Roh', who has listed you as a personal reference."

Me: "Never heard of him. Good day to you, sir."
