" PARIS, France (Reuters) -- The popularity of The Da Vinci Code is a shocking indication of both mass ignorance and the "voluptuous pleasure" the media take in promoting works with no basis in truth, the Vatican's culture minister says." news flash ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE TRUTH ITS A FUCKING FICTION NOVEL ffs rolleyes: |
Well the whole thing at the beginning of the novel makes everyone think. The theory has been debunked by numerous scholars. It's just something that we all want to believe is true..when it's not.

wait...
the vatican is worried about the truth?... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!... |
The problem that the church has with it is that people are reading it and actually taking it as truth. Dan Brown said it's fiction and it is to be read as fiction, but the readers are taking fact away from the book, and the facts they are taking aren't facts. Ultimately it ends up confusing readers who are too ignorant to look into the issue. That's the church's problem with it, not so much how it was written, but how it is read.

I say GF1 writes the Newer Testament.

Most of the things Brown states are based on facts. And he draws conclusions based on those facts. And in the very beggining of the book, Brown ackowledges that the story is fictional, but the facts presented are true, for the most part.
All these scholars debunking Brown, are wasting their time. None of us were alive 2000 years ago, so none of us knows, and will never know, the truth. The church is just upset because Brown lets people know little known facts which the church doesn't like. Once the church starts fessing up to all the times its f-cked up in history, then maybe ill actually listen to what they have to say. till then. |
some time i confuse The DaVinci Code with The Bible...i really don't know why.
