iPod question
 

When i plug my ipod into itunes it says there is a newer version for my ipod (1.1) i have 1.0. My question is, can i install the upgrade without it removing everything off of my ipod, or will it automatically reformat on an update

Thanks judas, im pretty sure you answered my question, ill just wait a little bit more to hear more input.

"Update" simply updates the software that controls iPod and may also update the firmware for the hard drive. Update does not affect the songs and files stored on iPod.

when my ipod was updated...it didn't format shit.
