I'm just trying to figure out why so many people hate people who use shotguns...
Rockets I can see, nade spammers too, but the shotgun requires just as much skill as the MG..
Have any of you shotgun-bashers ever actually USED it??

I think the complaint come from the fact that in close, 3 rounds in the chest from a SMG wont kill, but one round from a shotgun will. I use it occasionally, but I enjoy a good firefight over a, run by with my shotgun, pull one shot, pick up med kit, and keep running. But then again. I don't really care what weapon people use. Unless I'm allied and on Omaha and every Axis player is just sniping. Nothing sucks the fun out of that map faster then dying on the boat 5 times in a row before you even draw your gun.

yeah I know what you mean, I'm sick of that map.

Whenever I play we end up with axis spawn campers and THAT ruins a game awefully fast..

I'd have to admit I am not impressed with Omaha as a public server map so far. It'll be good when clan matches start happening, but at the moment it's just a little deathmatch-like.

If they removed respawns (and sadly that'd have to mean removing artillery fire too) then it'd be much more enjoyable.

Right now all it seems to be is a deathmatch game for Axis to get lots of kills.

That is if no one mass-snipes.

I'm not impressed at all and can't wait to play it in a proper game.

I dont mind what weapon people have. The zooka fools always kill themselves. To kill shotgun fools easy, stick to the outdoors. To get rid of snipers...snipe em. There is nothing worse than people getting pissed cause they died. In a war, your dead, no bitching.

I got no problem with them, except they aren't very effective and I rarely get killed by someone using one. Even in close quarters. If they want to use, I figure it's their choice(bad one), but their choice.

no offense but you have not played aginist someone who had skill using the shotgun at close range. I have used it plenty of times and decided to stop using it after i killed 3 people with 1 shell. i was standing in the door way and all 3 of them ( like idiots) where trying to snipe out of one window. so yes i do think that the shotgun is cheap AT TIMES but if someone has a shotgun, snipe them or stay at mid-to-long range which practicaly renders them your bitches untill YOU let them get close to YOU!!!!

The shotgun is fine, the only problem is that it packs punch even from a distance.

Yeah I don't know where people are getting the idea that it has a long range.

Maybe they had 1 health left or something.

I suppose you're right though, people just don't like being killed so they complain.

IMO The shotgun is kinda worthless. Yea it can kill someone at close range but it has low medium range effectiveness and no long range. I would prefer to use an M1 or MG. I used to have a problem wit the shotty till I actually played on a Public server, when I did I realized most people that use it have no skillz anyway (rash generalization I know). The only time I really get pissed is when Im runnin my happy ass to some cover and I get zookad in tha foot and die. Then I usually find tha bastard and give it to him like he was a cheap hooker. but anyway I dont think the shotty is a problem untill it starts to get spammed, you have 15/20 people using it it gets lame. That goes for any weapon not just the shotty.
