^ yup, noone knows wtf the game looks like as it is now, last i heard George Broussard was saying the game would be hard on modern graphics cards due to the engine they now have (which is rumoured to be unreal engine 3).

This topic was brought up in their forum and they stated that the game will be out when its done and that 500k wasn't gonna make them take a shortcut just to get the game onto the shelves.

Its either gonna be really good, or bomb, people just take it for granted that the games gonna blow because of the delays but it could end up being the opposite.

Nothin' like reliving a classic.

Proteus 06-14-2006 10:33 AM

Wow that looks like shit. Why the fuck would they delay it so much?

[quote:6e8e7]This game is and has been (if you haven't been following gaming news since the Stone Age) the perpetually-anticipated fourth in the series. The game's development saga is legendary, including a switch from the Quake engine to the Unreal engine and a string of unofficial release dates that stretch from 1998 to 2006 and beyond. Technically, developer 3D Realms has always promised the release of Duke Nukem Forever, "When it's done." As of this writing, the game is not yet done, but it is still in the works, and the promise is that, one of these days, you or your offspring will enjoy the fruits of almost a decade of hard labor for 3D Realms.[/quote:6e8e7]

That is absurd. I thought it was like a 4 year delay...
