Its been on the cards for months now. More suprised the initial rumours of intel buying ati weren't true. That kind of cash for a company wouldn't have been as big a deal for intel as it is for amd.

hopefully amd won't decide to move ati out so the ati people can keep their jobs. i don't see that happening, but it's possible.
anyway, will be interesting to see what happens. |
