My Left Axilla Hurts
So last night I discover what feels like a pimple/boile on my left armpit. It didn't hurt as much at first, but hours later and the next morning I discover "white heads" - or postules (i think). They feel like pimples and also look like them. . . but I never heard of anyone getting pimples on their underarms. So I did research and found that it is folliculitis. To be exact, hot-tub folliculitis. The last couple of days I've been hot-tubbing.
"In Spas & Hot tubs, a very likely cause of skin rash is Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA). Pseudomonas feeds on oil & grease present in the spa water (mainly from body oils & skin treatments brought into the spa from bathers NOT properly showering prior to entering the spa or hot tub) and can multiply rapidly under ideal conditions (such as lack of proper sanitizing procedures)."
Yeah, so in short: Shower before you enter a hot-tub/spa/pool.
